diagnosing P2135 Throttle/Pedal Correlation Posted by Ran When Parked [Email] (#2710) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ran When Parked) on Wed, 2 Feb 2022 03:33:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My 2007 9-3 recently went into limp mode with a couple of P2135 Throttle/Position Sensor/Switch "A" / "B" Voltage Correlation codes. Snapshot data from a OBDLink MX+ scan tool says:
23.92% Relative throttle position
28.24% Absolute throttle position B
23.14% Accelerator pedal position D
22.75% Accelerator pedal position E
I've removed the throttle body, and the butterfly valve moves smoothly. Some discoloration, but not a noticeable buildup of gunk. I've opened up the actuator mechanism and there is nothing obvious like a broken gear tooth, but it does have a few degrees of slop when I manually move it off the center position in either direction.
The connector is clean and I don't see any obvious corrosion on the nearby wires.
Is it feasible to check the resistance in the accelerator pedal and the throttle without a GM Tech2?
Also getting a P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, with the bulk of the misfires coming from cylinder 2.
