Hello,
Were they "quick struts" that were allready assembled? Maybe the upper nut is not quite tight. I think you can hold the center with an allen wrench and try to tighten the nut with an offset box wrench. But not completely sure, I have not installed any Bilstein's for awhile.
But I believe a while ago there was talk of the aftermarket strut tops being of poor quality leading to some noises after replacement. Maybe you can check there website to see what type of strut tops were used. Good Luck, Bernie
