Should AMP2 work without AMP1? Posted by gta [Email] (#3019) [Profile/Gallery] (more from gta) on Fri, 17 Jun 2022 10:14:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I recently inherited a 2004 9-3 Aero from a friend - interesting to have a Saab from this century to join the C900 and 9000! Anyway I am working through issues, one of which is the very common dead stereo.
AMP1 is dead from water damage (as usual?), so I looped the fiber internally, and now the stereo and turn signal sounds etc work again. I'll probably get a replacement or send this one to Wasyl for repair at some point.
However by my interpretation, AMP2 in the trunk should probably now work again - it clearly doesn't. Am I wrong about that? Is AMP2 also disabled when AMP1 is bypassed, or do I possibly have a faulty AMP2 as well?
Thanks,
Graham
