Kind of reminds me of my early model LCD tv (on and off cycling) and 85 Saab 900 dash clock (stopped working). I recently had a AMP1 (under the seat failure so I looked inside the amplifier casing. I was very surprised to find two 16V rated electrolytic power capacitors 4700 and 3300 mfd) on an automotive charging system which can reach 13.7 to 14.7 VDC. Usually I like to see at less 50% voltage rating margin. All the rest were ok at 25 VDC rating. In my book, this can lead to short life or excess current leakage (battery drain) over time. My plan is to replace the capacitors with 25 VDC and see what happens. Anyway, under rated voltage capacitors (like they were in my 85 SAAB and LCD tv) can cause off and on operation for the amplifier which then loses the O-bus communication with the radio and everything shuts down or off and on. Replacing the capacitors on the TV and Saab clock fixed with 25 VDC worked nicely. Just a thought.
