Hello,
There could be many reasons for this type of vibration. First a few questions
1. Has the regular fluid mainenance been performed on the AWD system. I think the rear dif fluid is every 40k and the transfer case front dif should be every 60k.
2. Try to pinpoint if the shudder takes place under acceleration, steady cruising etc.,
3. Have the rear axle shafts or drive shaft ever been replaced?
Let us know these answers and we may be able to pinpoint some places to check. Good Luck, Bernie
