OK after much trial I figured it out.
There is a small ridge of plastic on the side that goes towards the Brake pedal.
There is a key hole slot on the metal bracket. (I would describe as lower Right Corner of bracket.
You have to orientate the plastic ridge on the switch into the keyhole slot.
Only one orientation fits. That is with the wiring plug slot facing downwards to the floor.

Then you have to slide the Red Sleeve on top of the switch out fully.
This allows the indents that catch the metal bracket to go inwards to fit in the bracket.
If you leave the Red Sleeve all the way down as it comes in shipping, you will never get the switch to lock into the bracket. Tolerance is tenths of a mm.

Technique: after you move the soft plastic bottom cover under the Drivers side knee bolster.
Remove the OBD2 connector. Remove the 2 wires to the courtesy light. now you can move the soft cover off to the Right of Gas Pedal.

Now move seat all the way back.
Remove the plastic cover for the steering wheel column adjuster.
Now light up the underside with a flashlight.
You can now peer through the opening of the steering column adjuster to see the Brake Lamp Switch and bracket mount. (there are two identical switches, one is for Cruise control. The Brake switch is closet to Gas pedal. (Far Right).

Now contort your body, back and arm so it fits up into and under the dash as you grab the old switch and have to break it off the bracket by wiggling left to right until one of the tabs break. it will now release from the bracket.
Unplug electrical connector.
Now old switch is removed.
Notice the keyhole slot in the bracket and the keyhole slot in the plastic of the new switch.
Extend the Red Sleeve fully.
Now the best part... as you friggen contort your body and put one hand up into the dash, peer through steering column opening and align the new switch ..... push it in firmly AS YOU USE OTHER HAND TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL and push switch until it clicks in place.
I found it easier to do this unplugged. After it clicked in place I then fitted the electrical connector.
Done.
I'm still sore and fatigued from contorting, swearing and cursing the engineer.
