Adjusting Xenon Lights Manually (2003 9-33SS Linear)

While flipping through the manual, I noticed that each headlamp assemply has two screw points that enable the driver to manually adjust the height of the beam. The manual states that both screw points should be turned simultaneously. I was just wondering if anyone knew what would happen if only one screw point was turned? Would one side of the headlamp assembly raise/lower? or would there be more dire consequences?
Thanks.
