Is it seriously such a low price that you guys think that it might have a catch to it?

The thing is the car is not from a dealer but from a private party.

I think the only catch is that the car is not exactly in a tip-top cosmetic condition. I checked the front spoiler and it is pretty bashed up (because it sits so rediculously low), while the plastic rear bumper has some bad scratches on them. There is also some curb rash on the rims too.

Mechanically, I brought the car to a Saab dealer and they told me that it runs fine but the only thing is that the owner of the car has never brought the car in for servicing before (!). That pretty much shocked me, because that shows that the car was not taken care of by the owner. But then again, the inspection I did at the dealership showed that the title of the car was clear and everything else checked out well.

The 01 Convertible on the other hand is in a pretty tip-top condition both cosmetically and mechanically, but one thing that bothers me is that I do not know how it will hold its value over the next couple of years since it is an 01' and there is already a whole new range of Saab convertibles in the market.

So which would make a better buy?

An 03 Vector at $19.5 or an 01 Conv at $17?
Seriously if I had the money I would buy myself a 9-5 Aero Wagon but I can't afford anything more than $20k. So a 9-3 will do..... for now.
