I had the Motorola T-720 hands free kit installed last month in my '99 93, and it worked perfectly for a week or two. After that, the radio mute started coming on and off randomly when the phone was not being used. The installer checked it out and said the control unit must be bad. Eventually, Motorola sent a complete new set to replace the old set. The installer has now said the new control unit does not mute the radio either. I had provided the installer with the Saab TSB and the pin mapping for the radio, both at the time of the first install and for the reinstallation of the new control unit. He seems very knowledgable and said that he had tested all of the wiring. He can manually mute the radio, but the controller will not mute the radio when the phone is in use. He thinks it could be some sort of power issue, and that a relay could get it to work properly.

Has anyone else had an issue similar to this? Anyone know about the radio mute feature? The tech is going to call Motorola on Monday to see what they have to say, but I wanted to cover the Saab side of this issue. Thanks for your help.
