Maybe you put the windows up with the top down in So Cal, I don't. Of course I only have the vert (2003 SE) out for fun, the rest of the time I drive my 2000 9-5 Aero. I think it looks a bit goofy to drive top down, windows up. I do have a wind screen though (highly recommended). Wind screens were common up in Seattle on all brands of convertibles, but seem to be rare down here.
