All,
So I frequent this blog and enjoy the writings and information share to a point. You all had me waxing my wheels and using special paint sealant and the like so thank you for the exercise.
Now I read of slugge! An the next day I take a trip to the Dunkin Donut Center to watch Providence take on Virginia. After dinner and the game we go to heat home and on the way the "Add coolant" comes on. I am just 5,500 miles in from my last service, 20K one, and just 2 weeks from when I dropped the car off to have a couple of issues fixed: Driver's door hinge came loose, etc.
I got home and took the old SAAB 9000S until the weekend when I checked the coolant and it was almost empty. I filled it up but wondered where it went. I have never seen a leak nor a steam off so where did it go. Well, you all got me excited about the slugge so I checked my oil only to find something other than smooth flowing oil on the dip stick.
I got into the car and got it to the dealer, only 16 days left to my 3 year warrantee, and today they tell me I need a new water pump and a new turbo. An oil change is not included so I have to pay for it! The oil was low because the turbo seals were leaking. So what where they going to do, send me home with no oil?
