Hello Everyone,

I can't believe it but I was able to install one of these sliding load floors into my Aero wagon. Purchased it used here on SaabNet and it was in as new condition. Thanks Tom! After getting a quote of $437.50 for labor, I thought, I should try to do it myself. After two hours of sweat and toil, it was fully installed. It now works great. There are couple of things you should all know if you decide to install one yourself. The cargo floor nearest the rear seats and the sill plate are press-fitted in with clips. All you need to do is pull straight up and out they come. The instructions from Saab also need to be changed. Instead of having to reinstall the original rails as the instructions suggest, I would do it AFTER the spring stop clamp is installed. I had to loosen the three bolts on each rail in order to securely tighten the stop clamp to the rails properly. Also, make sure you have a pair of very sharp scissors in order to cut the carpet mat easily. Lastly, the expansion pins that are included do not fit well into the holes of the rails. Instead, I would use a long bolt with washers and a nut to substitute for this pin which is used to stop the sliding floor from coming out of the rails. Oher than that, if you follow the directions included with the sliding floor, you should be able to install one yourself. Just wanted to share my experience on this install. Now it is time for me to go out and drive the Aero and have some fun!
