The drain bolt is 13mm and a six point socket must be used or the hex of the drain bolt will strip. 14mm socket will do that to. 19ft.lb 25n.m to tighten. If over tighened, the threads of the pan can be stripped or the pan cracked. That is very expensive. Such things do happen in lube shops!!!! Very expensive labour to replace.

We get report of 2 or 3 cases per year of oil pans trashed by oil change jocks.

Do not use their bulk oil, you need M1 0W40 or M1 5W40*. 4 Liters will be perfect. Do not use their house brand filters. Purolator PureOne PL10241 filters would be ideal if you can find. Might be best to arrive with your own oil and filter. Ask if they have copper seal washers, maybe you need your own supply of these. I would watch to see that they do use the oil from my own bottles! If a small tray is not placed under the filter, oil will run over panels and structual members and then drip out for days.

*ignore the spec in your owner's manual, follow the specs in current productiom, read about sludge issues and become informed, talk to you dealer and find out what oil they have been using and dicuss the need for the oils dictated in the new 'sludge warranty'. Talk about any issues in making the change to the new oil. Do not tell them that you are going some place else for your oil changes.

Bulk oil fill meters can be bogus and serious overfilling can happen. So you need to check the level your self. If oil is added from 4x1L bottles, then there is no need to check the level other than to become familiar with the useless Saab dip stick.
