Oh you guys, the oil companies love you. Fuel of different octanes do not have any more energy than the lower octane, it just has a higher resistance to pre-ignition. If you are looking for the last 10 horsepower available from your engine run the highest octane available. The knock sensor will allow you to run higher boost and get the last little bit of horsepower available, and I hate to break it to you...but that does not equal better gas mileage! In 99.9% of your driving the least expensive fuel at the pump is your best bet. And the last little bit of bull that I have heard on this BB is that higher octane makes the engine run cooler and makes DI's last longer, give it up!
