Does Galves buy cars? Never heard of that source. How many can you send me at the prices you quote? How much do you charge to transport the cars to SoCal?
You're ignoring the powerful effect, and the Blue Book add, of low miles. 19k is close to (15k is zero miles) correct mileage for a 2004, low for a 2003 and super low for a 2002.
You also fly in the face of used car wisdom. Dealer's will pay more for a car in trade than at auction. It's because it facilitates a sale and gives another profit oppurtunity. Buying a car at auction creates a profit oppurtunity, but it doesn't move another piece of iron off your lot. Knowing and meeting the owner personally can put a valuable face on a used car trade in.
I don't think you make too big of a mistake acquiring a low mileage, automatic, 2002 9-5 Aero, a very desireable used car. So far nice '02 Aeros have brought "all the money" at auction 'cause there just aren't any around.
