Thanks for the info, Mike.
It's a relief that they improved the auto trans.
The extended warranty they are offering is for 60 months or 60K from my date of purchase.
One problem with this is that my car doesn't go out of factory warranty for another 9 months. I would rather pay for a warranty that starts when mine ends. So really, I'm only getting 51 months of warranty, not sixty.
As far as the miles go, since my car has 30K now, it would go until 90K.
I seem to put about 10K a year on my cars, so that part would be okay. Believe it or not, the warranty is through Nissan finance. I paid cash for the car, but the finance guy at the dealer offered me the warranty.
Unfortunately, my car is about 50 miles short of 30K. Once it goes over 30K, the price goes up. This I believe, because that is how it worked with the warranty I bought on my 97 9000 CSE.
One more thing, if Saab is going to extend the engine warranty 8 years, then that seems like even less of a reason to go for the extended warranty. Don't you think?
