Lower front 'wishbone' bolt loose - implications?

For 3 months I've felt a slight but obvious
knocking through the steering wheel on my Aero.
My dealer has been insisting that it's my imagination.
Recently, it developed into a more obvious clunk,
particularly when braking, and when steering lock to
lock. Dealer had 2 attempts to locate/correct it, first
torquing up all front suspension/steering bolts etc.,
and later removing the nearside wheel assembly and
regreasing the driveshaft splines. All to no avail.
Lately it started also to clunk when pulling away after
braking, so I booked it in for a final analysis. I got
the car back yesterday when the service receptionist
explained that they'd retorqued all the front
steering/suspension bolts and the noise "seems to have
disappeared", although they "did not know what it was
or what they had done to cure it"! So I spoke with the
service manager who stated that the lower front
nearside wishbone bolt had in fact been "loose and moving",
and that retightening this seemed to have cured the problem.
Question: if a lower wishbone bolt can become loose
after only 10,000 miles, how can one be sure it won't
happen again? Is this not a potentially dangerous possibility?
Thanks for any thoughts.
