Aero'ed,

It does not have to be a local junk yard. Thanks to the internet and the wonderful site http://www.car-parts.com you can check the inventory of almost all junk yards in the US. The TWICE computer is small enough so shipping will not be a big deal.

I bought 6 various parts for my other cars over the years (nothing for the 9-5 yet). For bigger parts (bumper and tailgate) I restricted my search to places within driving distance, but shipped all smaller ones (ABS computer, taillight, mirror and glovebox).

For some infrequently used parts (like glovebox, or TWICE computer) you will have to call, as there are no entries for them in the database. The database in this case is useful since it provides information which junk yards have the particulate car.

From my experience, some parts (like bumpers and mirrors) are quite expensive - demand outweights the supply. For the others the situation is reversed. Also, there is always a huge range in prices. I keep calling until I find a good offer.

I just decided to check some prices (as an example) and actually found TWICE and DICE computers after I selected the ABS controller - go figure. So, as an example, for the year 2000 2.3 LPT the ABS assembly starts at $81, TWICE computer at $90, DICE at $45. For $100 you can get TWICE w/key.
