Breaking in my Aero I have noticed im breaking later and going faster than I did in my other Saabs. Why? Because I can, the Aero hides speed so well and can stop so quickly. Im expecting increased pad and rotor wear on it. You are using a lot of energy to stop the car and pad and rotor wear help to control heat. Harder pads and rotors will generate more heat wear less but under heavy use will show more fade. In street use I think harder pads and rotors but under performance conditions I would rather have more wear and less fade.
If you look at race cars the balance between rotor and pad life are balanced against heat. Most race cars rotors and pads are used up at the end of the event sacrificing rotors and pads for breaking performance.
