I drive a '00 Aero and I LOVE this car (now at 75K miles). It HAS been into the shop on more occasions than I'd prefer, mainly for 'the usual suspects': DI casette, SID pixels, paint cracks in C-pillar, etc. Compared to my buddy's Honda Accord, which has required NOTHING other than oil changes during his identical years of ownership, this vehicle is maintenance heavy. But it is MUCH more vehicle, and I'm happy with the vehicle overall. For reference, I bought mine two years ago for $22K as a CPO with 39K miles, thus giving me 100K mile warranty / mid 2006 bumper to bumper coverage.

Given the mileage of the vehicle your looking at, you really want to get a great price. If you check eBay you'll see some going for cheap money i.e. I see an '02 Aero w/ 51K with a buy-it-now price of $16,200. A '00 Aero should be several thousand less.

Read the posts about engine sludge as well. You definitely want to check this vehicle's service records thoroughly, and check for some of the big ticket items that could affect this vehicle. Also, the 60K service for this vehicle is kinda expensive, approx $500, depending on who you talk to.
