I'm just back from 1 1/2 months in OZ and NZ.....did the Picton-Nelson-Barrytown-Arrowtown-Tekapo-Christchurch trip on those narrow twisting roads on "the wrong side" in a rental and absolutely agree it's one of life's REALLY harrowing driving experiences. For your final international exam, I'd suggest the infamous "hook" turns in Melbourne...legal& mandatory but insane....where, as you're on the LEFT and if you want to make a RIGHT turn on a tram street, you must be in the OUTSIDE lane, wait for all traffic to clear or the light to turn RED and then go like hell across two lanes of traffic on YOUR own(left) side and then across three in the oncoming pack to get to the left side of where you want to go. (It is as carzy as it sounds and I'd love to hear from a Mellie Saab owner on this feat!!!)
