I had an 86 9000 Turbo Hatchback, then a 92 9000 Turbo Hatchback. I just purchased a 1999 9-5 SE about two months ago. The 9-5 is a much quieter ride. I liked the rear defroster indicator on the dash in the 9000, as well as the red and white lights on the edge of the doors. I do miss the hatchback. I didn't want a wagon, and the 9-5 doesn't come in a hatchback. The 9-5 seems much tighter and I think will handle much better on windy roads (haven't had the chance to do that yet) When I was looking for the replacement I also drove a 9-3 convertable. It was nice, but it didn't really excite me. I then drove the 9-5 and absolutely loved it. If you have enjoyed your 9000 I thnk you will really like the 9-5.
