On I40 tonight going 65 the battery light came on but not the center triangle and then the I notice the temp indicator in the red and pulled off. $ hour later got it to the dealer. Looking at it I think the belt is ok. It was a new Conti belt from europartsrelaced at 59K and came off at 69K. There was some coolant overflow and the car indicates it needs some and it starts.
What damage could I have done and what should I tell them to check. How could I avoid this? I'm a devoted Saab person but this will not do. Glad it was close to a dealer(85 miles). Plus, I always do overmaintence as women can break down!
