Heya all..
Was on a coach up-country and the seats all had lap belts for the passengers(same with the airline ones really)

Have heard that lap belts could exacerbate even a fairly light collision as locking the hips in place while the upper body is flung around could lead to serious back and spine injuries.

Given that all the seatbelts in my 9-5 are 3-point, I couldnt help but wonder if id be better off taking my chances without the lap belt.

Thoughts, comments?
