I have that wagon, same year, stick shift, but drove the automatic at the Aero Academy. The wagon has a huge space advantage, as the back loads straight in, and is squared off. The roof can be equipped with all sorts of racks and can carry at least 200 lbs, or three bikes or a canoe, etc.
The Aero has a much punchier drive train and engine. Tighter suspension. If you drive the linear, you'll feel the difference. Aero wagons are hard to find used.
I just replaced my tires at about 25,000 (I swap in snows on wheels in the winter), because one had been destroyed in a pothole and the remaining three had 7/32 or more left (at least 5000 more miles). In and out of NYCDepends a lot on what tires you use - the "stickier" and softer the tire, the better the handling and traction, but the worse the wear.
It sounds like one price is high or the other low. The year difference and higher mileage should show a differecne in price - the Aero, if i remember right, is about a $5000 premium over the linear. The sticker on the Aero wagon I saw two days ago was about $44,000. The Aero has other extras which you can look up on this board. I love the Aero, the way it handles, picks up etc. Feels the same at 110 as at 70.
