With the coments you made about being smooth the most important thing to being fast. Also a racing buff, although not currently a participant,I have made my way around lime Rock a few times. In day to day street driving, I also end up being the one that everyone thinks they are blowing the doors of, but if push comes to shove,I know how to get the most out of the car beneath me. That's why those other day to day factors such as tire wear, comfort and noise tend to get more interest from me on a street car than would they if I were driving say, a BMW M roadster. Like you said, when Tire Rack or anyone else writes up a tire and tries to pidgeonhole it into a category, it is largely based on what the manufacturer tells them they want.$$ talks in this case. still,After having Dunlop SP9000,then Mich Pilot Sport A/S on the aero,I can state that so far, these Goodyears are the very best of the lotWill they be that good with even 15 K miles on them? Can't say yet, but so far the performance is terrific and they were a great value at about $150 each mounted and balanced.
