Removal of the lower rad hose works, but that does make coolant go everywhere. There is a drain cock on the LH end. Water is used to flush the system, that will remove the coolant. Flushing water will remain in the heater core and rad tubes. A shop vac can be used to clear the water out of these. Remove the upper rad hose and apply shop vac to lower rad hose opening. The heater core coolant control valve will make clearing the core of water or coolant more difficult perhaps.
There are no block drains.
