I just got a 2000 9-5 sedan with OnStar installed. What found is that your cell phone has to be a separate installation entirely from OnStar. You cannot use radio's "Telephone" features - they've been pre-empted by OnStar. I made the mistake of having a second antenna mounted about a foot from the OnStar antenna. For whatever reason, my FM reception went south. I went back to Verizon, the wireless installers, and had a short antenna (a quarter-wave, I think he called it) mounted in the top corner of the windshield on the passenger side. Although I have two antennas, the second one is very small and non-obtrusive. Much better than having two full-size antennas in the back of the car.
If you check http://www.onstar.com, you'll find info about their wireless service - but, when it's introduced it will be very expensive (they posted their pricing, too).
Good luck.
