My wife's 2000 LPT 9-5 with 65,000 miles began to experience trouble on the cold/AM start several weeks ago;it was during that abnormally chilly May weather here on long Island. Took the car in to Smithtown SAAB; the car is Certified/bought from lease. The techs could find nothing wrong so, I took her home.
On Monday, 94 degrees here, the car stalled in the middle of an intersection, would not start after cranking for at least 20 seconds. After pushing it to the roadside with the help of some nice folks, I once again tried to start her. It would crank, but would not start; no CEL either, so I called a tow and low and behold after waiting 10-15 minutes, she started. I drove it 10 miles to the dealer.
Picked it up this morning (Wednesday) and was told that the plugs were fouled, but, there wasn't an error/fault code in the computer.
Today, 66 degrees, the car started in the AM, ran fine. Sat for 20 minutes, started fine again and then stalled, would not start. Waited 15 minutes, she started, ran for 30 seconds, stalled and would not start. Again waited 15 minutes, she started, ran 30 seconds and stalled.
Got towed to Smithtown SAAB.
What do you folks think? Please help!!!
