Has anyone come across this yet?
The front middle grille (the larger piece) was pushed in at the bottom and separated from the plastic "chrome" surround at the bottom. I managed to separate it from the surround on the sides too, but not on the top. Note that the "chrome" surround is right where it should be on the front's nose.
The Haynes manual says it can be removed by taking the bottom of the grille downward and forward which is supposed to loosen or unhook the top. I cannot bring this piece, the black grille, forward wihthout breaking it; it is all plastic.
There are triangular-shaped tabs protruding from the "chrome" piece that should fit into the black grille around its perimiter. I really don't want to remove it, I just want to get the grille back into the "chrome" surround - if removing it is necessary, then how do I go about this?
I'm trying to avoid leaving it at the dealer for a day for what I think is a small task, but maybe its not?
