Define "NORMAL" Posted by Saabdude [Email] (#370) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabdude) on Thu, 7 Jul 2005 06:52:16 In Reply to: Rough Idle IS NOT NORMAL, Ian Glenday [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 2 Jul 2005 16:36:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
2003 9-5 Aero Auto w/ 16K
My car has always idled rough, in D with or without the AC, to a lesser degree in P or N. At a long light I have to shift to N to protect my fillings. At my 10K I asked the dealership about it, they said they had received a "bulletin" and then they made an adjustment that did not help. It does not idle up/down, just vibrates steady.
The vibration may be "unwanted" but if all Saabs of a certain type have it then it is "normal" - and if it can't be fixed then that is called a "feature"!
If you sit in any Honda 4-cyl in P or D you cannot tell if it is running. That would be nice. But except for the rough idle and having to use only BP (best) or Shell (second best) gas, I do love my car.
