I hate to stray you away, but $9000 for a 95k mile 9-5 sounds a bit steap -- at least in the midwest. If that price is pushing your budget, with no warranty you could be taking the bus IF there is a problem. Yes Saabs are salty to fix, but I don't think they're more than other european cars. I don't think $500-1000 per year is out of the question considering the mileage and you don't know the exact history. Nissans may be more common, but they sure seem bullet proof too -- I've owned 10. Have you looked at 9-3s? You may do much better in a 9-3 at that price and the trunk is nearly the same size (seats up of course).
