The Mitsu TD04 unit is more reliable and powerful, but also takes more time to spool to build up that rush of power.

There is a hybrid that will give more reliability and preserve the spooling speed of the Garrett unit. It's a compromise. I believe you'll find it on the Abbott racing website.

With the TD04, I think ECU changes would be needed (a reflash). With the hybrid unit, I think it is recommended, but not required. but if you need a new turbo, I would do the reflash and enjoy the extra power.
