Having grown up in the north east kingdom of Vermont, my Dad got me a 900S Turbo in 88. That car went through everything mother nature could give it. I was never stranded, I never went off the road. When the Noreasters hit. My own father would take my car and leave me with his Benz 500S! Knowing I wouldn't make it to the foot of the driveway in his car with out hitting something!
This winter in DC was not one of our best. Lots of snow, and ice storms. While all the ML500 were in the ditches. I was just going along. The car thanks to TSP and ESP. Stops on a dime. I actually tried in my neighborhood to go "tobogoning" with it.... All the car did was stop!
This winter I took my used 02 9-5t 2.3, home. In a blizzard no less. Not a single problem. I was the only car on the road. Through 8 inches of snow on unplowed I-91, my boy held the road. At one point I think the car was driving it self.
Also having grown up in VT. I saw more Saabs then Subarus. I would get the Saab.
I have seen this posted many times. Take care of your Saab, and your Saab will take care of you. I agree 100%
Eric
