OK. Thanks to albany and LesH I looked into the Crank position Sensor symptoms and agree it sounds like the right call. Besides with my V6 it is unlikly that it is the DIC since there are 2 of them...
So, where exactly is this sensor and connector? I read Swedecar's posts but "behind the intake manifold" is a bit vague to my inexperienced eye. Any help? I have a service manual on the way but not in hand yet.
