How low was the system when you recharged and how much did you put in?
Did you evacuate the system completly and filled it up or just put a can in (for good measures)?
Are you sure it was low on freon to begin with? Did you see the A/C clutch kick in before you filled it up? Do you see the A/C clutch kick in now (I guess you do since it is a groaning noise).
Todays cars are very sensitive to both over and under charge so if the initial problem was not a low freon problem you might have overfilled it now and made it worse.
It's a little bit early I think for a 2002 to start leaking out freon but I guess it's possible.
Yes, you probably found the right fill nipple on the right inner fender.
Always keep in mind when reading information on the net that the other poster might not have the exact year/model as your car and the information could very well be different. Saab changed that particular hose between 2001-02.
My best suggestion is to have the system evacuated and filled up to proper amount of R134a to begin with and then see if the problem goes away or not.
You can do a search for Grey Goose and read up about some problems one owner had when the A/C system was not properly filled.
