ACC display come on when you start the car ? Does it show any reading at startup, i.e. temperature settings for left and right etc ?
If ACC is on when you start, then you can program and save the initial startup ACC settings, e.g. with AC auto on, defrost, vent, fan speed etc.. or just simply AC on with Auto or Auto with Econ mode etc..
I recall reading something like any settings you save to the ACC, the car has to be off for a short period of time (5 to 10 minutes ?? it's mentioned in the manual) for the program to take effect.
The manual (the big one, not the little one) is convoluted but the instructions are there. Read both the ACC Program I and Program II, should be in there somewhere...
I don't think you need Tech2 to do the ACC, at least not for my wife's 2003 unless they changed it after that. I usually set it to AUTO with air-con automatically in summer and set it back to AUTO with ECON mode in winter time. No, I don't remember the sequence and I have to decipher the manual each time I do this 8-).
