I posted a short while back on my good first impressions with these new Akebono Euro Ceramic front pads. They are a premium pad for about $95 US which I happened to get from the TireRack.com. It's been 10 days since I washed the car and not a hint of brake dust is visible! With the OE pads, I'd normally see tons of dark grey dust by now. The pedal feel is great and the bite is only a tiny bit slower to peak then the OEs but the ultimate power is just as strong. I am VERY happy with these pads.

At the same time, I installed plain Zimmerman rotors from site sponsor eEuroparts and they are perfectly smooth and pulsation free. I am meticulous in cleaning every trace of surface rust off the hubs to ensure the rotors run true. Make sure the rotor - wheel hub interface is perfectly clean as well. I always use a torque wrench to tighten wheel bolts in 2 or 3 steps.

I don't think the rotor brand will have any impact on the dusting characteristics... at least any smooth faced undrilled/slotted rotor shouldn't. The rotors I replaced were Brembo. One caused pedal puslation from uneven thinckess that came back twice after machining. I had good service from some Zimmerman rotors on another vehicle in the past so I decided to give those a spin on the Saab.
