Don't overlook the Avon M550 M+S all season tires.
They are priced right and so far have received very favorable reviews.
Avon is a British company who is just getting established in the US, however if it's of any comfort they have been suppliers to Rolls Royce and other uber-luxe Brit
brands for some time.
They are priced right at $104 in the OEM 225/45/17 per tire. You can also tack on the protection program at $12 a tire and still come out ahead of some of the others. So far so good with my tires...I was going to go with the Pzero Neros but I decided to give the newcomer a try after reading all the great reviews...
Saving $40 a tire allows you to replace them earlier at the same cost; and no matter how good the tire its limits will decline with age/wear.
Best,
Tom
Sad to say after putting on new rubber I now know that all that cabin noise I experienced in my first month of ownership is just that - cabin noise - and not old tire noise as diagnosed by me earlier. Still came out of a Subaru; still not complaining.
