When the cover flew off it took a part of the washer jet with it. This was the part that the flat cover snaps onto. I bought the LH washer jet which ends with a "clip". I pulled out the washer jet by force and I think I could swap it out this way with the help of a second set of hands.
I checked my WIS and they suggest taking apart the grille and lights....I have xenons and I don't want to mess anything up. I'll try doing it the easy way by pulling out the washer jet "up and away" from the bumper and swapping out the pieces....I still need to have the new cover painted/clearcoated so it'll be a few days..a royal pain in the ass. I thought I could activate the washer and then shut the car off mid way but it appears that even with the key off the mechanism springs back to its original position.
