Yes and that's what gets me when some dealers try to sneak away saying that the warranty doesn't cover since it was another part that failed the cat.
This is not a Saab issue only. Many other brand dealers try as much as possible to sound like it is no warranty on an item and it isn't until the owner is loaded with info that they say, Oh yeah, it is covered under this and that warranty.
The Fed 8year/80K is a lot less emission items compared to the CA 7year/70K emission warranty. Each State have their own set of rules.
It pays to grab the warranty booklet that came with the car and read up very carefully on each States rules. It is all in that booklet.
