I started installing a Motorola Bluetooth handsfree kit in my '04 9-5 Arc sedan last night. (No OnStar... HK radio). I removed the SID and ACC panels, and I thought I had located the correct plug to use with the Saab adaptor harness, but I don't think so.

The plug I found was wrapped around one of the major wire bundles directly behind the ACC and covered with friction tape. It is an 18-pin male and the adaptor harness plugs right into it. The problem is that only one 6" red wire connected to it. (That wire comes out from under the friction tape of the wiring loom). I didn't have time to remove the radio to see whether there is another plug back there.

Does anyone know what the plug I found is used for?
Did Saab make any 2004 U.S. spec. 9-5s without the handsfree wiring?
