The release in the States is supposed to combine the Arc and the Aero into one, which is ridiculous IMO; clearly a GM move. The pics here show an Aero-badged 9-5, so anyone know what the specs will be for this version, and if/when we get it in the U.S.?
Comments on 'revised' 9-5:
-good job on painting side moldings
-nice trim insert on seats
-dash components are straight GM; layout looks thrown together and cheap
-rear lights I personally don't like, but this is the least of my concerns
-no Aero; horrible move IMO, even with the 'refocus' on the 9-3 as the Aero
-front treatment is interesting, yet not SAAB; GM should've(seems like we're saying this alot) used the EXACT same design from the 9-2x for the front, as the 9-2x headlight/front spoiler combo is the best I've seen from SAAB yet - of course they would try and initially offer it as a limited production - another GM dummy move
I think we all wanted to like this car, but I know I'm not alone when I say that I won't be getting one. My '03 Aero CPO comes off warranted in 2008, hopefully just in time for the 9-5 redesign/replacement. I don't want to drive anything else, GM! Keep your fingers crossed guys. Cheers.
