but thought really could be lots of other stuff too. I don't think its the famous steering click because turning the steering wheel doesn't cause it. Actually Alex P's "whum whum" is pretty close. Besides removing the wheel bearing is there a way to check it?

1999 9 5 se v6
65000 miles
2 front tires are new, bridgestone turanza's, rear tires are turanzas and have 30,000 miles. I replaced the front two because I got a flat and this was the second repair to that tire. So I figured what the heck.
I did the front brakes last year, about 7000 miles ago. I used to allways change the wheel bearings when I did the brakes but I didn't this time.
