Soon as I see one.... Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Thu, 3 Nov 2005 16:06:33 In Reply to: 2006 9-5 opinions?, supa7e7, Tue, 1 Nov 2005 15:21:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The chassis and engine of the 9-5 essential soldier on unchanged, which is a good thing. The chassis is still well ahead of newer FWD competitors. The engine while not being as smooth as the competitve sixes at idle is still a gem with V8 like torque right now that makes it feel much stronger in daily driving than engines with higher horsepower ratings.
As for the styling revisions, inside and out, I'll reserve judgement until I see one in the flesh. The pictures look good. The standard 17" wheels help the look. In years past some of my favorite radios have been GM designs. Aux in and a CD changer in the dash have become necessary to compete in the class. Hopefully the high quality sound of the Harmon Kardon system won't be comprimised by the GM Black Tie radio head unit.
