ARRHH Another DI failure story

Traveling home down I-495 near Andover Mass and lost my 2nd DI (129,900 miles). 4:45pm, almost didn't make it over to the breakdown lane. Only good news was all happened 1 mile from local Dealer. I call my dealer in Maine and they gave me the number to Goodford's in Andover. I called ahead to get a loaner. Much to my disappointed no Saab loaner, set me up with Enterprise, at my cost. But what could i do, still 80 miles from home. Than Goodford informs me that they are closed for Veteran Day, and would not be able to look at it till Monday. Called SAAB USA on the way home to inform them i would require them to pick up the tab for the loaner for 4 days. At first the rep informed me SAAB USA evaulated on a case by case status. I continued to demand that SAAB USA cover the cost. After 5 minutes of discussion rep agreed to start a claim. I received claim number and fax number to submit cost for 'review.'
Only time will tell.
So will they replace my DI with one of the new "re-engineered" DIC, or just an existing one and will have to return for new one in March
by the way 2000 aero, at, 129K miles
