Maybe because back then, many and most cars were still under warranty so we never got to hear much about it.

It wasn't even anyone that I knew of that rebuilt them one year ago.

Only if I got the used unit for really cheap would I buy it and then maybe have it sent out to rebuild to be on the safe side.

This is not a Saab issue but a Bosch issue.

Maybe Saab have made it a bigger issue than it needs to be by not selling the ABS unit as a seperate spare part even though they do list a seperate part number for the unit.

Many other car makers where the ABS unit is failing is selling them seperate so the price is a lot less.
