9-5 Front sway bar install question

Hi everyone. I recently purchased the upgraded sway bar kit for my 2001 9-5 lpt. The rear sway bar went in pretty easy, but the front is still sitting in the garage. Tried to remove the old one, but access is pretty tough. Any ideas or tips on replacement? Should I drop the subframe? Also, I'm having a problem with the rear window defroster. I'm getting 12V back at the defroster grid, but it doesn't defrost. Could it be the red gizmo on the right rear quarter panel? Thanks!
