Update:
I bought a non-TCS module from Tom's Foregin Auto and it should arrive by Friday (will be a backup for our '99 95SE). They claimed that the unit will work, and allow the car to be used but the TCS will be off and light on dash will lit up.
- it can be located on their web site if you search by vehicle and scroll down to non-engine electronics. However, I called them and talked to MaryAnn who was extreemly patient and helpfull. Last week they had couple of ABS/TCS modules. Yesterday they only had the non-TCS modules leftover.
I also talked to Auto&Truck and arranged for repair of my busted unit, they provided me with shipping label for getting the part to them, promised 2 day turn time on repair, and overnight shipping back. Jonh(x10) also told me that the car will work with the module removed (all symptoms remainign and no-ABS of course) and that I should be able to use it while the module is beign repaired. Their price is still $249.00. Great guy.
The writeup of the procedure from 8AA2YM is great. Thanks again!
Jerzy
