Orange Relay failure.... Went digging in my WIS tonight and it appears the infamous Orange Relay" or Filament Sensing Relay has failed. In one failure mode (fail closed)it will display a "Front Lamp Failure" message even if all lamps are fine, in the other failure mode (fail open) it will not display a message even with lamps burned out. Other option is a broken or loose wire in a harness, but with this components failure history, and my car's age/miles, it undoubtedly is the relay.
The darn thing is over $100 from discount sources! The tally list for failed components awaiting replacement (i.e. fog lights, lamp relay, etc.) is getting pretty darn expensive.
